In this week’s blog I will be sharing my personal New Moon ritual. A couple of weeks ago we experienced the Full Moon and I shared some information about what this meant and my personal rituals. I hope this post will inspire you to look deeper into the phases of the Moon and how they affect our life.
The New Moon falls on 16th April into the fire sign of Aries. A New Moon represents the end of one cycle and the beginning of another new 28 day cycle. Much like the menstruation cycle for women.
This will be a highly active New Moon that is said to bring forth some powerful changes so beware. Due to the Pisces Constellation it is said to give spiritual motivation to new goals.
It is also good to hear that Mercury has gone direct and while we may not feel the effects immediately it is a good time to move forward with new plans. The best time to make a fresh start is a following a new moon, and especially one where Mercury goes direct!
So if you have been procrastinating or putting off plans now is the time to begin again and give them a new lease of life. What plans will you put into action?
New Moon Ritual
In my blog post a couple of weeks back I walked you through my Full Moon Ritual, this time I will be explaining my ritual for the New Moon. I personally love this phase of the cycle, as it represents new beginnings. I find this ritual very soothing and gives me much clarity in my manifestations.
First, I like to start by creating a beautiful calming space. I will clear the energy by burning sage and then some incense to make the room smell nice.
Secondly, I will light a candle and for my practise I like to come to the floor to complete the ritual as I feel it provides a grounding effect.
I will then take some time to reflect and think about my life and what it is I wish to manifest. I will then spend some time journaling on these thoughts. I will typically write up the manifestations very clearly so this can serve as a daily reminder.
Note: It is extremely important that you journal by hand. No technology allowed.
To guide you during this time the following affirmations may be of use.
