Welcome to month two! Already.
In February I will be living sugar free, when I say that I mean no refined sugar. I will still be eating fruit. I understand that some people go on a complete sugar cleanse and eliminate all sugar from their diet but I believe that fruit is good for us and I don’t intend on removing natural nutrients from my diet.
After reading the Sugar Blues by William Duffy I was determined to get this addictive substance out of my body. It has no nutritional value and seems to cause the body more harm than anything else. It was a great challenge to try out.
Would the cravings be as bad as they say they are?
I don’t know…
What I do know is how much of a sweet tooth I have! So this isn’t going to be easy for me. Especially since sugar is in everything these days, even bread! Even my lovely wholemeal ‘healthy’ bread. Why?!?
I would say that at present I consume a lot less sugar than most since I am extremely passionate about my health and so I rarely, if ever consume: fizzy drinks, junk food, processed foods, and take away's etc. Also I have been on a vegan diet for almost a year now so I automatically cut quite a lot of the normal sugary treats out of my diet a while back.
But still my beloved Vego!
I would always have a sugary treat after my dinner or at the the 3pm slump. I must say I haven’t even began and I am already looking forward to the 1 March so I can eat a huge bar of Vego. Whoops! Lets see what I learn.
Thank you for reading and supporting my journey of inner growth!
With love & gratitude.
