It's hard to believe I am on to challenge number eleven already! Where did the year go?
This months challenge is called Morning Pages, and it was created by Julia Cameron and is taken from her international bestseller The Artist's Way. Julia believes we are all creative, that there is no such thing as a non-creative person.
The purpose of Morning Pages is to stream your thoughts down straight after waking up, usually with your morning beverage of choice. So I will starting my day with my notepad and lemon water for the next 30 days. It is suppose to clear your mind of all those thoughts that bother you, so you are actually meant to write down all the things on your mind. This is not meant to be pretty. You can write about your bad night's sleep, or how long the to do list is. It's meant to free your mind from the clutter so you can go on to have a beautiful day.
So how did I find out about Morning Pages?
After attending an event by Mimi Ikonn, I received a copy of her book The Bingo Theory. Morning Pages was recommended in Mimi's book, so I decided to make this my next challenge. As you know I love to write and now since my book is finished and almost ready to launch I am doing less writing so this seemed like a fun way to hold onto my love of writing. I can't wait to get started.
Will you join me?
Thank you for reading and supporting my journey of inner growth!
With love & gratitude.
