The more I resonated with 28 as a year of significance the more I came to learn about astrology, something I had little interest in before my awakening. This was such a vast subject, and there was much to learn. The more I discussed the topic of my awakening during the year of 28 the more I saw the close correlation with my Saturn Return.
What is Saturn Return?
Saturn is the second largest planet after Jupiter and is best known for its ring system that was first observed in 1610 by the Astronomer Galileo Galilei.
Saturn Return is when the planet Saturn completes its full orbit to return to the position it held in the zodiac at the time of your birth. This occurs once every 29.5 years, typically experienced three times during your lifetime if you are fortunate, around the ages of 28-30, 57-59 and 86-88.
The first one can be described as a rite of passage into the next phase of your life. You only have to think of the 27 Club, those who did not make it past 27 which directly aligns with Saturn’s Return showing us they were not destined to enter the second phase of life.
Sepharial’s Manual of Astrology states that Saturn governs the Father, disease, chronic affections, hindrances, falls and bruises, poverty, friendships, long ties, habits, darkness and decay.
Saturn’s Awakening Powers
The Saturn Return is said to be a time of transformation, a transition from one phase of your life to the next. For me, these years truly were a representation of transformation. I had spent a lot of my twenties in some sort of societal fog, bowing down to who I was supposed to be, not embracing who I wanted to be. It was Saturn’s Return and the magical age of 28 that allowed me to step forth into the path of authenticity.
Each time Saturn Returns we are challenged to discover new levels of awareness. Saturn is the instigator of change and is said to lead you towards healing and a strong foundation of self. Ultimately when we reach this pinnacle time we realise that we cannot coast along anymore, we will need a stronger grounding if we wish to evolve.
This will be a time of making life changes and it can be tough because we may move away from careers or relationships we have been building for the last decade or more. Paths that were followed when we had less understanding of who we were.
It is important not to resist the changes during this first awakening, otherwise you would experience a harder fall in the second round. The harshness of it all can make you feel lost, abandoned, unsure of yourself, lonely and in suffering. But it is imperative to remember Saturn is liberating you, freeing you and allowing you to start anew. It is never too late to be who you were meant to be.
What does Saturn teach us?
Saturn is known to cause cosmic chaos so you may feel this way during your transition however if Saturn Return teaches anything it’s that we should never give away the authority in our lives.
This is a vital time for women especially to look deeply at their father issues because Saturn symbolises the Father.
This is not a time to be afraid or to feel anxious as it approaches, for me it was the best experience of my life. I would however suggest the following to make the journey a smoother ride:
And don’t forget this will be a time of positive change in the long run.
Ultimately, Saturn is trying to lead you to yourself.
With love & gratitude,
In all the time I have been running this blog I have never really shared my story, so I thought it was about time. I hope you enjoy learning a little bit more about me and what I do.
My story starts back about 2-3 years ago...
Obviously all of this caused even more stress in my life. I felt like I was out of options and I had no time to really sit down and take stock of my life and where I wanted to go. I was caught in the never ending circle of busy-ness.
The true catalyst for change occured when I went Vegan. It elevated my consciousness and changed my life for the better. I felt happier, lighter and more healthy. The results were pretty much immediate. To this day I know that this is one of the best decisions I ever made. It gave me the energy to evaluate the rest of my life.
I had barely stopped to notice that I was wasting all my personal power on things I didn't care less about. I had been giving my time, energy and money to things that were not my passion. I couldn't live from a place of calm or stillness because I wasn't living my truth.
I also had no sense of meaning or purpose, literally none. Zero ideas. I felt so confused because it was a question that haunted me day, after day, after day. Especially because I felt like I'd been living my dream as I was working my 'dream' job.
It took awhile for me to come into my purpose. And so of course I did the clieched thing and I packed up my bags and went travelling. Travelling is beautiful because it gives us the time and space that we need to gain clarity.
When I returned from my trip I challenged myself by joining NaNoWriMo - National Novel Writing Month - where I discovered my love of writing. My purpose found me.
I feel so blessed that I get to live my passion everyday. I just love to write.
It was then that I started to realise that some of the things I had been doing previously were still great but I was going to need to amend them to fit with my new way of seeing life. In my job, I had spent some of my time working as a corporate coach and mentor for many years which I loved. But I realised that I wanted to work with people who required more spiritual guidance in their path. My joy comes from helping people evolve and live their life's purpose.
Over the last few years I have been redefining my life to the place I am now. My life is set up in a way that I am living the life of my dreams. It is a huge blessing and I am grateful for this everyday.
During my journey, I noticed that in order for me to Elevate my life I needed to change the following:
It is a pleasure now that I am able to share and teach others how to Elevate their life in the same way I Elevated mine. I love helping people to Elevate their life and feel that changing these 3 areas make a huge impact.
Elevate Coaching Programme
Over the past few months I have been actively creating my Elevate Coaching Programme which will be launching on the 1st October. Elevate was created out of my desire to help people grow and evolve. With love & gratitude,
This week I had my hair trimmed, a rare occurrence for me, since I believe our hair should be left to grow to its fullest length. By interrupting the hair growth and cutting it off, we lose part of our power, a vital source of our energy. If you have read my book, you will know my thoughts around the spiritual importance of hair…
“After yet another fascinating session with my Magical Metaphysical Man, we covered the topic of the consciousness of hair. This blew my mind. I had always allowed my hair to grow to its fullest length; the longer the better, I felt. But I was unaware that hair served some kind of spiritual importance.
I was surprised to find that hair consists of the most vital sources of energy for a human. According to the yogic tradition, hair is a wonderful gift of nature that helps to raise the spinal Kundalini energy. In India, the "Rishi knot", where the hair is coiled up on the crown of the head during the day, is said to activate the magnetic field or Auric field and stimulates the pineal gland at the centre of the brain.
I then went on to discover how in ancient history hair was cut forcefully, as a symbol of slavery. This was because conquerors understood that the prana would be decreased by doing so, and the slaves would be easier to control.”
The last time I cut my hair must have been around 6/7 months ago. I now practice intuitive Lunar hair care, but what does that even mean?
I follow my intuition and ‘know’ when I need to trim my hair to keep it looking neat. I also use the power of the Lunar cycles to figure out when is the right time to have my hair cut.
What is Lunar Hair Care?
For centuries, humans have followed the moon’s cycles to determine when to plant and harvest crops; planting during a particular lunar cycle determines what the crop will yield, and often how much it will yield.
This same practice can be applied to your hair. It’s called Lunar Hair Care.
“Hair is an extension of the nervous system, it can be correctly seen as exteriorized nerves, a type of highly evolved ‘feelers’ or ‘antennae’ that transmit vast amounts of important information to the brain stem, the limbic system, and the neocortex.
Not only does hair in people, including facial hair in men, provide an information highway reaching the brain, hair also emits energy, the electromagnetic energy emitted by the brain into the outer environment. This has been seen in Kirlian photography when a person is photographed with long hair and then rephotographed after the hair is cut.
When hair is cut, receiving and sending transmissions to and from the environment are greatly hampered. This results in numbing-out.” Source: The Hair Shaman
I have personally always been allowed and enjoyed letting my hair grow, the one time I did have to cut my hair off about 10 years ago due to a colouring mishap, I felt so lost. My power had been taken from me, I had lost my vital source of energy. When I began to understand the power of our hair and the receptors that we have in our hair, I finally understood my own experience and why I felt so lost.
Lunar hair care is such a simple practice to follow, all it takes is a little understanding of the concept and then scheduling your hair cuts on the correct date.

With love & gratitude,
I can hardly believe it's been two months since I launched my first book. The journey has been incredible and more heartwarming than I could ever imagine. I feel truly blessed to be able to share part of myself with the world and to be able to inspire others with a new way of thinking.
My words are my power, this I know to be true.
There have been many exciting opportunities that I was presented with, and it's about time I share those with you.
My first opportunity was to be invited onto 10 Radio to discuss how I became a writer, share my advice on how to start writing, and discuss why it is so important. I absolutely loved talking about my writing experiences and why it is such a huge part of my life now. It was a moment to treasure and during this experience I felt so alive with gratitude and the knowing that this was exactly what I was meant to be doing. The gratitude flowed from me effortlessly as I soaked up and embraced the gift of this opportunity.

Vegan Life Magazine
It was an honour to be featured in Vegan Life Magazine where they described my book as 'finding inner peace and self-healing'. As Veganism is a such a big part of my life now, it really was such a blessing to be featured. I hope to inspire others to research and understand the vegan lifestyle more thoroughly. I know so many of you have already been inspired to dig deeper into Veganism and this brings so much joy to my soul. Thank you for your openness.
More exciting news coming soon...
I also recently finished writing an article for one of my favourite magazines - again another dream come true. However, I am saving this good news for another day. Let's just say more updates coming soon.
On a final note I would like to announce that my book is now also stocked in the following bookshops.
Thank you for reading and supporting my journey.
With love & gratitude,
In this week’s post I wanted to share a little update about my recent book launch. On 1 March my book Twenty8: The Age of Power was released and on 16 March we held the official book launch & signing.
The launch & signing event took place at Ten Cable Street, a plant-based venue. It was a beautiful evening and I was beaming from ear to ear. It was so nice to be able to recognise all of the people who helped to bring this dream of mine into fruition.
I began my journey fifteen months ago when a friend suggested I take part in NaNoWriMo, also known as National Novel Writing Month. In November 2016 I started writing my story which required a lot of hard work and dedication but it has been so worthwhile.
As I moved through the past couple of weeks I really began to realise that the journey is more important that the destination. Taking daily steps towards your dreams is what gets you there. We all have the power inside to make this happen. We just need to believe.
I want to say a huge thank you to everyone that bought a copy of the book, it is so nice reading your reviews and messages. I am so grateful I was able to share my words with you and sign your books with love.
Official pictures to follow in the next couple of weeks. In the meantime, keep chasing those dreams!
